Although each category has distinct features, they are not rigidly defined and may overlap. WHAT IS RANGE BRASS?

For those who are new to reloading, the term “range brass” may be unfamiliar. This type of brass is obtained from shooting ranges, and its quality may vary depending on the range from which it was collected. Factors such as whether the range is indoor or outdoor can also impact the quality of the brass. Range brass is generally unsorted and not cleaned and is often sold in 5-gallon buckets by ranges.

WHAT IS BULK BRASS?

Bulk brass is comparable to range brass, but it is typically less expensive and available in larger quantities. It is sold by companies that purchase and merge several range brass parcels. Bulk brass consists of mixed headstamps and is often dirty, with some cases being unusable due to damage.
